The company provides a high standard of training for students via Joburg Ballet School and Academy, plus a comprehensive programme of community-based development and outreach work via its satellite schools
- Outstanding young dancers aged 8 – 12 identified during the annual Satellite School auditions may stand a chance to audition for Joburg Ballet School’s accelerated programme. Auditions for our School are by invitation only and classes for this programme take place Monday to Saturday at our studios in Braamfontein, starting in January of the following year.

- We offer a full-time programme which includes lessons, training and the opportunity to rehearse and perform on stage with the company. Aspirants can see if they have what it takes to work with a professional dance company and those who successfully complete the one-year programme may be offered a contract with Joburg Ballet’s corps de ballet. The programme runs from January to December.
