Joburg Ballet at the SANDT Gala

Join Joburg Ballet Principal Artists Monike Cristina and Revil Yon at the prestigious SANDT Gala as they celebrate an exceptional milestone—their 10th year with Joburg Ballet.

Representing the company on the Artscape Opera House stage in Cape Town, Cristina and Yon will perform excerts from La Traviata choregraphed by Veronica Paeper as part of a landmark celebration bringing together eight South African dance companies for the first time. They will appear alongside principal dancers from Dutch National Ballet, invited as special international guest artists, and leading performers from across the country.

Accompanied by the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, the Gala programme presents an exhilarating blend of classical ballet, contemporary dance and musical theatre. Audiences can look forward to works by internationally renowned choreographers George Balanchine, Martha Graham, Rudi van Dantzig and Ernst Meisner, alongside acclaimed South African choreographers Veronica Paeper and Sean Bovim.
