Yolanda Roos

Yolanda Roos completed studies in civil engineering but finding it not creatively challenging, moved to fashion design and marketing. She was runner-up in the Miss Earth Young Designer Competition and went on to win it the second time with her garment being worn by Miss Earth South Africa at the Miss World Earth in the Philippines. Her designs for dance costumes have represented SA at various international competitions. She says she has always loved the flair and the drama of costumes designed for the stage, so when the opportunity came to work in Joburg Ballet’s wardrobe, she could not resist.
